The 2020 Wilderness Survival Camp will be a collaboration between the Pathfinder / Adventurer Department (PAD) and the Avon Park Church (APC).
This event will be held at Pine Lake Retreat. There will be NO ONSITE REGISTRATIONS.

Survival Camp to learn about living & surviving without the convenience of Walmart. Learn about shelters, backpacks, survival equipment, water, clothing. Prepare yourself for the end times. Fee:$40.
Children who are younger than 10 attend if they are accompanied by their parents. This relates to the non Pathfinder attendees.
All attendies 18+ must be Sterling Volunteer certified.
There will be no refunds.
Things to know!

Registrants will have to provide:
- accommodation preferably tent camping
- food
This is information about what to bring
First make sure that you have all your camping needs: tent, sleeping bags, food etc. It can be cool so bring extra layers of clothing. It may rain, so bring appropriate rainwear. We’ll be in or near the woods so bring insect repellent if you desire. Don’t forget that we do not provide accommodation or meals.
Here is what is needed for the training:
Level 1: Turning Non-Campers into Backpackers
In addition to your backpacking equipment you’ll also need to bring:
- Means to cut wood for fire building
- Matches
- Notepad, pens
- Bible
- Musical instrument
- Bushcraft 101 by Dave Canterbury
Level 2: Basic Survival Skills
In addition to your backpacking equipment you’ll also need to bring:
- Camping knives
- Knife sharpeners
- Ferrous rod, firelighter
- Paracord
- Water containers
- Altoid tin (or similar)
- Shovel
- Ziplock bags (or similar)
- Military rain poncho or tarps
- Water
- Notepad, pens
- Bible
- Musical instrument
- Advanced Bushcraft by Canterbury
- Edible Wild Plants by Thomas Elias
Level 3: Intermediate Survival Skills
In addition to your backpacking equipment you’ll also need to bring:
- Camping knives
- Knife sharpeners

- Saw
