Andrew-Craig Nugent, pastor of Margate and Cooper City Churches, was recently asked to write an article on Sabbath worship for The Parklander, a monthly family-friendly magazine mailed to homes and businesses in North Broward and South Palm Beach Counties.
Nugent’s definitive study concisely laid out the biblical history of creation through the time of the apostles. It was his hope that the article would lead readers “toward a more biblical worship experience.” In Nugent’s closing remarks, he referenced Isaiah 66:22-23 in stating, “His [God’s] people will observe the Sabbath throughout eternity.”
Nugent’s article, “Why Worship on Saturday?” appeared opposite an article entitled “Why Worship on Sunday?” written by a Presbyterian pastor. “I encourage members to share the online link to their social media contacts,” says Nugent, “in order to use the article as a witnessing opportunity.” The full discourse may be read online at theparklander.com/apr2016 on page 109.
