Legacy of Hope Convocations
A priceless opportunity God is presenting to us is the compelling case for re-engaging with young adults – those in the category of 20-40 years of age. In other words, our children and grandchildren. Studies over the past 15 years indicate that we lose 60 to 70 percent of our children after they complete high school or academy. With the graying of the Adventist Church in North America and our inability to retain the second and third generation children within churches composed of cultures from other regions, it is imperative that we address this troubling trend.
So we are calling all pastors and local church leaders to attend a convocation in their region where we can share stories, inspiration, and plans for addressing this urgent need. These convocations, taking place on Sabbath afternoons, are entitled “Legacy of Hope.” The Adventist people are a people of hope. God’s design is for us to pass this legacy along to the next generation in our churches and communities.
