UNVEILED PLAYS OUT LIFE'S DRAMA
by Daniel Smith
UNVEILED is the student Drama Ministry Team at Forest Lake Academy, Apopka, directed by Sam Paschal, a Bible teacher and Boys’ Dean. Recently, UNVEILED’s featured performance kicked off an inaugural event at Black Adventist Youth Directors Association (BAYDA) United Youth Congress in Orlando at Orange County Convention Center with more than 12,000 in attendance.
“The message of UNVEILED is to show God’s love and direction through drama ministry,” says Paschal. “Drama ministry is presenting life lessons through the use of acting, poetry, and music. God granted us all with gifts, and we can use those gifts to serve and bring people to the loving message of Christ’s saving grace. So, we chose to use our gifts in acting to share this message.”
“I like acting and especially street ministry,” says member Philip Haughton, “where we can witness through our drama ministry team just by telling a story in our skits that the people can see themselves in. You don’t always have to preach to them, and everyone can relate to a story.”
