YOUTH OUTREACH IMPACTS TAMPA BAY
Part of the Impact Tampa Bay mission trip included projects to beautify homes

Impact Tampa Bay brought 26 youth from across Florida Conference to help transform the lives of a community. Young people between ages 14-24 shared a message of hope through a variety of projects such as serving meals to the needy, helping in thrift stores, beautifying homes, and providing tech support to the elderly.
For 7-10 days, these young missionaries, who either commuted or boraded at Tampa Adventist Academy, supported local churches with their ministries/projects. They also went door-to-door gathering valuable information and Bible study interests to be followed up by the local churches.
There were 21 different options from which to choose. Some projects were challenging and took the young people out of their comfort zones. Daily worship conducted by Jacksonville Mandarin Associate Pastor Timothy Jemly offered opportunities for participants to talk about their experiences and share their testimonies.
The most powerful aspect of this mission trip was hearing young people talk about outreach possibilities they would like in their churches, such as food banks or sports ministries. Many of these same youth are committed to attend Impact Jacksonville in June 2017.
We now have young people excited about serving their community and their church. The Florida Conference Youth Department supports the vision of youth who wish to start their own ministry by offering advice, technical help, and financial assistance.
