CAMPSITES:
There are 7 campsites reserved. Each campsite holds 50 people. There will be more than one club sharing a campsite.
The campsites consist of:
Electricity / Light
bathroom
water
picnic tables
Covering
Fire pit (small fires) You can bring your wood. You can not cut down any trees or bushes.
VEHICLES:
NO VEHICLES WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE CAMPSITES!
All vehicles will remain in the main parking area. Carts (not golf carts) will be available for you to use to get your equipment to the campsite. PLEASE pack carefully. You will WALK to your campsite. Choose carefully what equipment you bring. This is primitive camping . Pathfinders need to pack carefully, as they will carry their luggage to the campsite.
CAUTIONS:
There are animals there. I saw young deers. DO NOT FEED THEM! There are posters saying there are alligators there- small baby ones. Do not interact with them.
REMEMBER! WE ARE GUESTS AT THIS CAMP. YOU MUST MONITOR YOUR PATHFINDERS! WE ARE TO REPRESENT GOD. THEY MUST SEE THAT WE ARE CHILDREN OF GOD!
SCHEDULES:
Please adhere to the schedules. They were sent out before and will be in the programs given.
DRESS: Dress will be camping clothes. Closed toe shoes MUST be worn at all times. Check the weather and be sure to dress accordingly. Be prepared for rain. Proper bedding to keep warm at night.
MEDICAL CONSENT AND PARENT CONSENT
EACH CHILD MUST HAVE A SIGNED MEDICAL CONSENT AND PARENT CONSENT TO ATTEND . THE PARENT CONSENT WILL BE ON THE REGISTRATION PAGE.
Please check your first aid kits. Make sure they are up-to- date. We will have a registered nurse there for emergencies. All prescription medication MUST be in the original bottle/package with the child’s name and instructions clearly written.
SECURITY
We will provide some security. Each club Must provide security for their club. You MUST know where your Pathfinders are at ALL Times!!!!!!. When the pathfinder leaves your campsite, they MUST be accompanied by a counselor. This is a LARGE camp. The sites are not that close together. We MUST think SAFETY at all times!
CELL PHONES
Reception in the camp is not good. They are working on putting up more and better towers, but , it may not be ready while we are there.
FLASHLIGHTS
Make sure that everyone has a flashlight to move around the area at night. There is light in the campsites, but not on the trails.
